I am pleased to hear what Barac is saying about change. The U.S. could use a big helping of change. I agree with Barac's statements about how the wealthier segments of U.S. society have had it much too easy, and how the tax breaks for these taxpayers has not worked. The U.S. is creating a national debt which is catastrophic for those who will some day have to bear the burden of paying that debt.

I also like what I hear when it comes to Barac's plans to engage the leaders of the nations which represent the people of the Earth who do not reside in the U.S. The concept of refusing to meet with the leaders of nations which do not follow the instructions of the U.S. is a grossly outdated way to handle international relations. There are many ways to reach common goals, and it is not only arrogant but highly shortsighted to presume that the U.S. knows how best to handle business and governing in other parts of the world. The best way to achieve goals which are in the interest of everyone on Earth is to act through consensus.

I am also in the camp which does NOT think that enlisting Hillary Clinton as the Vise Presidential half of his ticket is a wise choice. I think Hillary would best serve in a cabinet position where she can have a direct and positive effect on health care. Health Care in the U.S. is in a very bad place and is about to be such a crisis that immediate attention is required. I just don't think her ego will allow her to serve in such a capacity.
